Awards Ceremony 2024
Welcome to Pride of Place 2024!
Ireland’s esteemed community awards are set to grace the Hillgrove Hotel in Monaghan on Saturday 2nd November 2024, as Monaghan County Council proudly hosts the IPB Pride of Place Gala Awards Ceremony. Organised by the peacebuilding charity Co-operation Ireland and sponsored by IPB Insurance, the IPB Pride of Place Awards spotlight and honour outstanding community endeavours. This year marks the 22nd consecutive year of the awards and we are now open for new entries. We look forward to receiving nominations from across the island again this year, exhibiting a wide variety of activities across the social spectrum. This year features a wide range of population categories, and other categories including Creative Communities, Inclusive Communities, Community Youth Initiative and Climate Action & Biodiversity, which also feature in the Cities competition.
Last year we had 101 entries from 34 local authorities, culminating in a memorable awards night in Armagh City Hotel on 10th November. We look forward to an equally high standard in 2024 when judging teams go on the road from June to September. Then it is all systems go in preparation for The Gala Dinner and Awards Ceremony when 500 representatives from community groups and councils across the island will gather in Monaghan in November.
Closing date for entries in the 2024 IPB Pride of Place Awards is Friday the 10th of May and entries can be made online at https://prideofplace.ie/liaison-officers/
