Ballina Lions Club has a proud 42 year history of serving the Ballina community. It is managed by a team of elected officers led by a club president, serving twelve months in office. Projects and initiatives include for example: Senior Citizens Holiday, Special Children’s Fun Day, Carers Weekend, Suicide Awareness & Anti Cyber Bullying School Programme, Simon Community Bartra Island Trip, Christmas Food Appeal, and Ballina Lions Club Christmas Day Dinner. As regards COVID 19 recent contributions by the Club include a donation for the provision of PPE for frontline staff. The Lions Club bus is facilitating inter hospital transfer of patients when requested. Transport is also provided for individuals with medical appointments in Mayo, Sligo and Galway. The above provides only a snapshot of activities and community involvement organized by Ballina Lions Club. All these activities would not be possible without the support and contribution of the people and organisations of Ballina who year after year generously support fundraising efforts.

They have worked hard continuously adapting to changing needs, demonstrating energy and enthusiasm and, crucially, have developed trust with the community.
