Dromahair was nominated for the competition and entered into the process enthusiastically as we were happy to showcase the work going on in our area over many years by many groups.

Covid-19 had a huge impact on our efforts as we were scared and worried like everyone and the age profile of the committee meant that most of us were in high-risk categories and meetings were not an option to start with. We were not highly skilled in video making and we worked with a smart phone to do the pieces. As our group were in existence for more than 50 years, we wanted to acknowledge the support of our predecessors and also the support of new residents whom we gladly welcome and encourage.

Participating in Pride of Place was a great opportunity, in that it gave us a push to keep going and face our fears. We really enjoyed the experience.
