ferrybankThe Ferrybank Neighbourhood is synonymous with gardening, with community allotments, horticultural training initiatives and a highly successful community horticultural based social enterprise delivered by the local Brothers of Charity  Services.

You could say that the whole Ferrybank community has green fingers – in fact it may come as no surprise that the colours of the various sports clubs that service the neighbourhood are green.

A well organised community garden and allotment scheme is managed and run by the local community right alongside the Brothers of Charity Community Garden Centre and Social Enterprise which provides landscaping services to the greater Waterford area.

It was no surprise then that the area was chosen as the ideal location to host a number of highly successful FETAC level 5 Horticultural Training Programmes to spread the gardening theme even further across the community.
